1 used in negative sentences and questions to say that something has not happened, although you expect it to happen 迄今，至此; 已经〔用于否定句和疑问句〕:
Have you heard their new song yet? 你听过他们的新歌吗？
Just a moment! I haven't finished yet. 等一下！ 我还没做完哪。
as yet (=until now) 至今，到此时为止: As yet there is still no news. 到现在为止还是没有消息。
2 used in negative sentences to say that something should not happen now 现在还不，尚未〔用于否定句〕:
You don't have to leave yet. 现在你还不用离开。
3 at some time in the future 将来，以后:
She may yet change her mind. 她以后可能会改变主意。
4 best/fastest etc yet best, fastest etc until and including now 迄今为止最好的/最快的等:

5 yet another/yet more/yet again used to emphasize that there is more of something or something happens again, especially when this is surprising or annoying 又一个/更多/又一次:

6 used to emphasize that something could still happen, or there is still time left to do something 还有，尚有:
