1 [T] to bend a piece of paper, cloth etc so that one part covers another part 折叠:

fold sth in two/in half (=fold it across the middle) 对折: Fold the paper in two. 将纸对折。
2 also 又作 fold up [I,T] to make something, for example a table or chair, smaller by bending it or closing it, so that it can be stored 〔将桌、椅等〕折起:
