USAGE NOTE 用法说明: coast, shore, beach, and 和 seaside
The coast is the edge of an area of land where it meets the sea. Use coast especially to talk about the position of a place on a map. coast（海岸）是邻接海洋的陆地，尤用于表示某地在地图上所处的位置:
the French coast 法国海岸
the eastern coast of Canada 加拿大东岸。
Shore is the usual word for the land on the edge of a sea or lake. shore（岸）是指海边或湖边的陆地时通常使用的单词:
We walked along the rocky shore. 我们走在满是石头的岸上。
the opposite shore 对岸。
A beach is a flat area of sand or stones at the edge of the sea, and is a place where people often go to enjoy themselves. beach（沙滩，海滩）是海边的一块平坦区域，上面全是沙或石头，是人们经常去玩的地方:
Let's go to the beach tomorrow! 我们明天去沙滩玩吧！
I wish I was lying on a sunny beach in Florida! 我好想去佛罗里达躺在一个阳光明媚的沙滩上！
Seaside is a word used in British English meaning a place near the sea, especially one that has hotels, shops, restaurants etc, where you go to enjoy yourself. seaside （海滨）是英国英语中指海边人们去玩的一个地方，尤指有宾馆、商店、餐厅等的地方。
