1 to let someone have or use something, because you do not need it 让出〔自己不需要的东西〕，抽出，腾出:
Can you spare any change? 你给我一些零钱好吗？
2 to prevent someone from having to do something difficult or unpleasant 使〔某人〕免除〔困难或不愉快之事〕:
spare sb sth I was trying to spare you unnecessary work. 我想给你免去不必要的工作。
3 to spare if you have time, money etc to spare, you have plenty or enough of it 空余的，多余的:
