USAGE NOTE 用法说明: no and 和 not
Use no before nouns to mean 'not any', or to say that something is not allowed. 在名词前用 no 表示“没有”或“不准”:
He has no job and no money. 他没有工作，也没有钱。
a 'no smoking' sign “禁止吸烟”的标记
You can also use no to agree with negative questions. no 还可以用于对否定问句表示同意:
"It's not raining, is it?" "No, it isn't." “现在没有下雨，是吗？”“是啊，现在没有下雨。”
Use not to make a verb negative. not 用于构成动词的否定形式:
I'm not going camping. 我不去露营。
When the word 'all' and words that begin with 'every-' are the subject of a sentence, use not to make it negative. 句子的主词如果是 all 或 every- 开头的单词，加 not 构成否定句:
Not all the students finished the tests. 不是所有学生都完成测验。
Not everyone likes horror movies. 不是每一个人都喜欢看恐怖电影。
You can also use not before names, pronouns, adverbs of frequency, and prepositions. not 也可用于名字、代名词、表示频率的副词和介词前:
"Guess who's at the door?" "Not George, surely!" “猜谁在门外？”“当然不是乔治！”
"Do you watch sports on TV?" "Not very often." “你看不看电视上的体育节目？”“不是经常看。”
It's open on Saturday, but not on Sunday. 它在星期六营业，但星期天不营业。
