USAGE NOTE 用法说明: alternate and 和 alternative
Use alternate to talk about something that happens or is done every second time, or each time after something else. alternate 用于谈及事情隔次发生［完成］，或每次在其他事情后发生［完成］:
He works on alternate nights. 他隔夜工作。
alternate red and white stripes 红白相间的条纹（带）。
Use alternative when there is a choice between two or more things. alternative 用于当有两个或多个事物之间的选择时:
an alternative route 另一条路线
