1 also 又作 muddle up [T] to put things in the wrong order 把〔东西〕弄乱:
The papers had all been muddled up. 文件都被弄乱了。
2 get (sth/sb) muddled up to wrongly think that one person or thing is someone or something else 把〔某物/某人〕弄错:
I always get him and his brother muddled up. 我总是把他和他的哥哥弄错。
muddle through/onto continue doing something even though it is confusing or difficult 胡乱应付过去:
We lost our equipment but muddled through anyway. 我们丢了装备，但还是应付过去了。
